How I Flew Business Class from Mumbai to Udaipur for Just ₹415 Using a Credit Card Voucher

 As someone who enjoys luxury travel without breaking the bank, I recently had the opportunity to fly business class from Mumbai to Udaipur, thanks to a complimentary voucher issued by my Axis Vistara Infinite Credit Card. What made the experience even sweeter? The ticket, which would have cost around ₹21,000, was practically free — I only paid ₹415 in taxes!

Booking Experience: Seamless and Straightforward

This particular flight was booked using the business class voucher I received as part of the Axis Vistara Infinite card benefits. Although Vistara has now officially merged with Air India, there were no issues redeeming the voucher, which was issued before the merger.

The voucher is now visible in the Air India app, under the loyalty section > vouchers, and redemption works much like a regular booking — just select your flight and apply the voucher at checkout.

Airport Experience: Premium All the Way

Check-in at Mumbai T2 was a breeze with a dedicated counter for business class passengers. The process was swift and hassle-free. After check-in, I made my way to the Adani Business Class Lounge, which offered a relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, and a decent spread of food and beverages — a great way to unwind before the flight.

Priority boarding was another big plus. With a separate queue for business class passengers, I was among the first to board, making the whole experience feel exclusive and unhurried.

Onboard Experience: Comfort, Cuisine & Class

The aircraft was an Airbus A320 Neo, fitted with two rows of business class seats in a 2-2 configuration. The seats were spacious, plush, and offered excellent recline, making the short haul to Udaipur very comfortable.

Upon boarding, I was welcomed with a refreshing fruit juice, followed by hot towels — a signature touch in premium cabins.

Meal Service: Impressive for a Domestic Flight

Meal service was prompt and well-presented. I chose the vegetarian meal, which included:

Malai Kofta with rice

Warm bread rolls

A rich and creamy chocolate mousse for dessert

For drinks, I went with sparkling water, which was elegantly served with lemon slices and ice cubes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, a cut above the typical airline fare.

Vistara Meets Maharaja

Though this was a Vistara-branded aircraft, the flight was now managed by Air India, post-merger. As a Maharaja Club Gold member, I continue to enjoy elite status benefits without interruption. The transition was smooth, and all loyalty perks were preserved under the Maharaja Club program.

Value for Money: Outstanding

Although the Axis Vistara Infinite card comes with an annual fee of ₹11,000, redeeming just this one business class ticket worth ₹21,000 made it worthwhile. And that’s not even considering the other perks the card offers throughout the year.

Final Verdict

Flying business class for just ₹415 (taxes only) was a truly value-packed luxury experience. From check-in to touchdown, the service, comfort, and convenience made it an exceptional journey.
