I had the opportunity to experience a one-night weekend stay at this newly opened property launched in March 2025, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience — despite being a last-minute plan.It is the second Fairmont property in India, first one being in Jaipur.

Seamless Booking & Airport Transfer

Booking my stay through the Accor All app was effortless. Even with just 10 minutes’ notice before arrival, a chauffeur-driven luxury car was already waiting to pick me up from Terminal 2. This complimentary 2-way airport transfer, included in my booking, was a thoughtful touch that set a high bar for the rest of my stay.

An Impressive Arrival

The moment I stepped into the grand Art Deco-inspired lobby, I knew I was somewhere special. Towering ceilings, dramatic lighting, and intricately designed stained-glass accents created an ambiance that was both nostalgic and awe-inspiring. Every inch of the lobby feels like a visual treat — truly Instagram-worthy and curated for lovers of both design and luxury.

My Signature Room with a Runway View

I had booked a Fairmont Gold Room on the 6th floor, which came with exclusive access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge on the 2nd floor. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated in a soothing monochrome palette, and had a direct view of the airport runway — a dream for any aviation geek like me. Watching planes land from the comfort of my luxurious bed was a unique experience that added an unexpected thrill to the stay.

The Fairmont Gold Lounge deserves a review of its own. With sleek, aviation-themed interiors and a serene setting, it’s a private oasis for Gold Room guests. The afternoon high tea was indulgent, offering a variety of delicacies with impeccable service. In the evening, the cocktail hours were just as impressive — expertly mixed drinks, gourmet bites, and a warm, attentive staff made it feel truly VIP.Access to Fairmont Gold Lounge is complimentary for Accor All Platinum and above members or for guests who book room with Gold Lounge Access.

Evening at Hedonic Bar

As the night settled in, I made my way to Hedonic, the hotel’s vibrant in-house bar. Stylish, upbeat, and brimming with energy, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a late-night drink or two without leaving the property. The cocktail menu is creative, and the music enhances the overall atmosphere, making it a great social hub within the hotel. It also has a cigar room.

Breakfast at The Merchant

My morning began at The Merchant, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant. This space is massive, beautifully appointed, and the breakfast spread was nothing short of royal. From freshly baked croissants and artisanal cheeses to classic Indian dishes and live cooking stations — every item was thoughtfully curated and perfectly executed.
