Booking & Check-in Experience
I used Marriott Bonvoy points for this stay, and as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I was delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade from a base category room to an Executive Suite. The hotel also honored an early check-in at 11:00 AM, which gave me ample time to relax and enjoy the property.
What made the check-in experience even more impressive was that despite points bookings usually excluding breakfast, complimentary breakfast was included as a Gold Elite perk.
The Executive Suite – Spacious & Stylish
The Executive Suite (approximately 753–882 sq. ft.) was elegantly appointed with a separate living room, dining area, 1.5 bathrooms, and a spacious bedroom. The interiors reflect JW Marriott’s signature blend of modern luxury with classic comfort. There was also a well-stocked mini fridge, a coffee/tea maker, and complimentary high-speed internet (both wired and wireless).
From plush bedding to a luxurious bathroom, every detail screamed indulgence. The large windows offered beautiful views of the Pune cityscape, creating a perfect urban retreat.
Club Marriott Lounge – Refined Indulgence
I opted for Club Marriott Lounge access, which was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my stay. The evening cocktail hours featured an impressive selection of food and beverages. The ambiance was classy, the service was impeccable, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the lounge is an ideal place to unwind.
Breakfast at Spice Kitchen
The breakfast buffet at Spice Kitchen was massive and diverse. From traditional Indian options to international fare, there was something to suit every palate. The quality of food was excellent, and the service was efficient and friendly.
Recreation & Wellness
The outdoor pool is one of the best I’ve seen in Pune – large, well-maintained, and surrounded by ample seating for those looking to relax. It’s a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city.
For wellness lovers, the Quan Spa and fitness center are well-equipped, although I didn’t get a chance to explore these during my short stay.
Events & Location
Strategically located between the airport and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the hotel is ideal for both business travelers and vacationers. With over 40,000 sq. ft. of event space, including a grand ballroom that can host up to 2,000 guests, it’s also perfect for weddings and conferences.
