On my recent trip from Doha to Mumbai, I had the opportunity to relax at the Al Maha Lounge in Hamad International Airport (DOH) – completely free of cost – thanks to my Priority Pass membership issued with my American Express Platinum Charge Card. Getting In – Smooth Entry with Digital Priority Pass
I visited the lounge in the evening, a few hours before my late-night flight to Mumbai. There was a short queue at the entrance, but the check-in process was quick and efficient. One of the best parts – the lounge accepts digital Priority Pass cards, so I didn’t need a physical card. My digital card worked flawlessly, and I was inside in minutes.
Layout & Seating – Spacious and Comfortable
From the main entrance, the lounge is spread across both left and right sides, and guests are free to choose any area. I explored both sections and found plenty of comfortable seating options – from cozy armchairs to more open seating for groups. Despite being a busy evening, the lounge didn’t feel overcrowded, thanks to its well-planned layout.
Food & Drinks – Tasty and Fresh
The food spread was impressive, offering a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options that were actually flavorful. I tried a selection of warm dishes and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. The desserts were delicious – perfect for a sweet ending to my meal.
Beverages included soft drinks, juices, tea, and coffee. While I didn’t opt for alcoholic drinks, the lounge did have them available.
Service & Cleanliness – Top-Notch
The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive. I noticed that tables were cleaned frequently, and food trays were refilled on priority, ensuring the buffet always looked fresh. The lounge maintained a clean and premium ambiance throughout my stay.

My Short Stay – Relax Before Exploring More
After spending about an hour relaxing, enjoying food, and catching up on messages, I decided to head out and explore the Oryx Lounge before my boarding time. But the Al Maha Lounge left a positive impression with its smooth service, spacious seating, and quality food.
Final Verdict – A Worthy Stop at Doha Airport
If you have Priority Pass access, the Al Maha Lounge at Doha Hamad International Airport is absolutely worth visiting, especially during long layovers or before late-night flights. The spacious environment, good food options, and attentive service make it a great place to unwind.
For me, it was an effortless and enjoyable experience, made even better by the fact that it was completely free with my American Express Platinum Charge Card Priority Pass.
