 One of the absolute highlights of my Sri Lanka trip was my luxurious 1-night stay at ITC Ratnadipa Colombo — the first international property by ITC Hotels outside India.

What makes this stay even more special? I booked it completely free using points as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, making it an incredible luxury redemption experience.

• There is no direct email contact for the hotel
• The Marriott Bonvoy app chat doesn’t work for this property

I emailed the general ITC Hotels support requesting early check-in, since my flight landed early morning. While they acknowledged the request, there was no confirmation from the property itself.

The moment I arrived, the hotel looked exactly like the pictures — grand, elegant, and luxurious.

Check-in Experience (Early Check-in Reality)

I reached the hotel around 9:00 AM, hoping for early check-in after my flight.

However:

• Early check-in was denied
• The hotel quoted 50% additional charge for immediate access

I decided not to pay and requested them to prepare the room as per standard check-in timing.Instead, I headed out to explore Galle Face Green, which is just minutes away.When I returned at 12:00 PM, my room was ready — a much better outcome without paying extra.
